Haymes 

Established in 1935, Haymes has brushed Australians up on their paint game for over 80 years. It offers a range of products from interior to exterior paints (including texture and timber finishes), plus an Artisan collection that offers matte, metal, and industrial finishes, to name a few. The Haymes website has a colour library, so you can match the perfect colour to the mood you want to project in your home. Haymes Paint is not available in the big hardware chains and can instead be picked up through Haymes Paint Shop stores and certain independent retailers.

Taubmans 

With a history that dates back to 1897, Taubmans offers a variety of paints for professionals and DIYers to choose from, including ceiling, doors & trims, exterior, interior, prep, trade and texture, with the ranges of paint further classified into areas such as Taubmans All Weather, Paint + Prime, 3-in-1 Prep, Sunproof, Endure and Easy Coat. Taubmans is available to purchase from Taubman's stores and retailers such as Bunnings and Paint stores.

Dulux 

Arguably one of the more well-known brands. Dulux has been operating since 1918 and is made in Australia with facilities in Queensland and Victoria. Boasting a range of over 4,800 colours for inside, outside and everything in between, Dulux's range of paints is split into Wash & Wear, Weather Shield, Ultra Air, Design Effects Precision, Professional and Renovation, with multiple tin sizes available depending on the product. Dulux products can be purchased online or at paint and trade retail stores.   

Berger 

With a history that dates back to 1916, Berger offers a range of paints for interior, exterior, concrete, paving and more, allowing you to find something regardless of where it is on your house. Product ranges include undercoats, ceiling, doors & trims, Everlast, water-based paints, low sheen, semi-gloss and seemingly everything in between, with multiple tin container sizes available across the ranges. Berger even offers a paint calculator to help outline how much you might need for the job ahead, helping to take some guesswork out of the job ahead.

British Paints

Stocked predominantly at Bunnings, British Paints has been operating for over 80 years, with the brand offering prep, interior, exterior, enamel, ceiling and deck paints, with a variety of colours and tin sizes available. You can search for paints online, with the range further split into water-based and oil-based varieties, with flat, matte, low-sheen, gloss and semi-gloss sheens also available to choose from, with some coming with additional features, such as the Wear & Tear Fighter range to help protect the exterior of your home from the Australian conditions.

Wattyl

Currently owned by the Hempel Group – a mainstay in the global painting scene – Wattyl is sold at various retailers around Australia, including its Wattyl Paint Centers, with a complete list of locations on the Wattyl website. Offering paints for the DIYer and trade, Wattyl's range of paints includes I.D Advanced, preps & enamels, forest wood, kill rust and solver, with further categorisation into ceilings, facades metal, timber, trim, walls and ceiling applications. If you're unsure about what you need or how to apply it, Wattyl also offers many resources online to help get the job done.

Accent

Exclusive to Mitre 10 stores, Accent Paints offers a range of interior, exterior, perp, doors, windows & trims, woodcare, ceiling and fence finishes, accessories, and sprays to help wrap up the job. Additionally offering low sheen, matt, gloss and other varieties, Accent's range of paints comes in varying sizes, with water and enamel-based paints included within the line-up.
